The vision of Lawrence Education Association (LEA) is equitable and supportive public schools for all students and staff.

LEA’s mission is to empower all members through advocacy, solidarity and leadership by protecting and representing educators.

The purpose of the LEA is to promote the general interests and well-being of the Association's members in all that pertains to the teaching profession and quality public schools for every child. All activities of the Association shall relate to the goals of LEA, KNEA and NEA: promoting quality public schools, strengthening the teaching profession, the well-being of members and an effectively operated local association.

The core values of the Association are advocacy, community, leadership, and equity.

LEA believes in
